John J. DePaul is the President and CEO of NHH Hotels & Resorts. He brings 30 years of hospitality operational, financial and principal experience at both branded and independent levels.

Quoted in industry and national publications, recognized for award-winning renovation designs, and invited as a guest lecturer for top hotel university programs, John brings a fresh, progressive perspective on hotel operations, marketing and investments.

John returns to NHH in 2012 after an assignment with Sonesta International Hotels Corporation as Executive Vice President of Development. In addition to his Executive Committee participation that oversaw the 36 domestic and international hotels, casinos and cruise ships, John was responsible for Worldwide Development activities that concluded with the pending sale of Sonesta to Hospitality Properties Trust, a publicly traded REIT, in a strategic win-win transaction. Sonesta will trade for a 71% premium to its share price and was a transaction in excess of $174 million dollars.

John was a principal with Berwind Corporation from 1996 to 2006 as Vice Chairman and CEO for Melrose Hotel Corporation LLC. John identified, acquired and managed a portfolio of upper-upscale branded and independent hotels in major urban markets. With an emphasis on "comfortable luxury," Melrose grew a reputation in the industry with its customers and employees as an independent four diamond brand alternative.

Prior to Berwind, John was the Vice President of Hotel Investments for a Philadelphia developer responsible for the underwriting of a luxury hotel that became The Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia. John has also held Executive Management positions for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in both New York City and Philadelphia. John started his career with Hilton Hotels Corporation in 1981 and served in various management capacities in Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and New York City.

John is married, has four children and lives in the Philadelphia area.

Erik has over 23 years of experience in the financial sector of the hospitality industry. Erik oversees the property level accounting as well as the corporate accounting and finance for NHH.
Prior to NHH, Erik held several positions with Boykin Management Company for their Marriott and Hilton products from property controller to regional controller as well as corporate accounting manager.
Erik has experience in converting hotels from centralized to decentralized accounting, converting properties from branded to independent or to another brand, as well as hotel renovations, and managing distressed assets.

Steve Dennis is a 18 year veteran of the Hotel industry. A turn around specialist focused on revenue development and cost controls. Successfully converted or renovated 7 hotel projects including the Hilton San Antonio Hill Country and the Greek Isles Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. A former Legislative aid in Washington DC. Nominated for the 2003 AHLA Arizona Manager of the year Award. Steve has managed all types of hotels from Airport properties to mega business hotels and golf and tennis resorts.

Prior to the Hospitality Industry Steve was a sports caster for 12 years traveling internationally. A stint as Director of Sales and Marketing with the Famous San Diego Chicken and a TV Weatherman in Alaska round out the resume.

Steve became General Manager for the Greek Isles Hotel and Casino in 2009 with a successful conversion to the Clarion Hotel and Casino in 2010.

Robert Marcil began his hospitality career with Hilton Hotels Corporation. During his 11-year Hilton tenure, Mr. Marcil rose to the position of Director of Operations Eastern Region. In 1991 Robert joined HEI Hotels as Corporate Director of Human Resources. With HEI he navigated the human capital needs and emergence of the organization from four hotels to 22 hotels with 4,000 employees, and fulfilled the overall human resource due diligence responsibilities for 18 first-class hotels representing more than 12 hotel industry brands.

Robert created his human resource consultancy practice HR Benefits & Compliance, Inc. in 1998 where he handled the opening and acquisition due diligence for ten first-class and four-diamond hotels nationwide. After completion of three acquisitions for a premier client, The Melrose Hotel Corporation asked him to join them as Senior Vice President Human Resources and business partner in 2001. Mr. Marcil and the Melrose Team developed this four-diamond hotel company customized branding standards, "best practice" workplace culture, operating standards, policies, procedures and cutting-edge technology systems yielding superior business plan results.

In April of 2009, Mr Marcil was appointed the General Manager of Cal Neva Resort Spa and Casino. Robert oversees the 200 room landmark property located in Lake Tahoe, NV.

John Gilbert has over 35 years hotel, club and appraisal experience. After serving in various accounting, financial and property development positions with Hilton Hotels Corporation for 11 years, John was appointed Senior Vice Preside-Finance with Newport Hotels in 1985. John became Chief Financial Officer for Saint Andrew's Golf Club, in 1995, serving in that capacity until 2002.

In 2003, John became a Certified Commercial Real Estate Appraiser and served as a Senior Analyst with Hospitality Appraisals, Inc. During this period, John appraised over 110 hospitality properties throughout the United States for major lending institutions.

John became Director of Finance for the Clarion Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada in 2010, working to turn around a distressed asset in the highly competitive Las Vegas, Nevada marketplace.
